***Great Presentations today***
Homework: Revise Song of Deeds Stories
*Bring tan books tomorrow!
Toys for Hoover Elementary would be so appreciated!!!
There are 12 girls, and 11 boys for the class I am getting toys for and . . .

We still need:
  • Stickers/Temporary Tattoos
  • Colored Pencils
  • Candy Canes
  • Bouncy Balls
*Each boy/girl gets a separate bag for the items to go in, so we need the same items for everyone. The Dollar Store is a great place to go, and obviously carries other fun item that could be purchased as well. Anything purchased (as long as there's enough for all) would be so appreciated.

Thank you and happy holidays to all!

Please create a storyboard for "Chevrefoil" and turn it in by Thursday.
This assignment is worth 10 points.
The storyboard should contain at least 6 panels, and no more than 8 as a short story.
You only need to focus on the story we read from your tan book and not the additional background information from the Power Point.
The storyboards do not have to be in color, although they tend to look nicer that way.
Please do not copy and paste pictures from the internet, but use your own creativity to create this assignment.
***Bring your rough drafts for your song of deeds if you haven't done so already! Deadline is tomorrow! Zero out of ten points if you don't!

Homework: Please write a rough draft of your song of deeds story. Your story should be at least two pages in length. The rough draft can be handwritten. Just to clarify, it does not need to be an epic poem. Your story can be in narrative prose form.
Here is a link to the Power Point I showed for the assignment: Song of Deeds Assignment Description

*Please bring tan book to class on Monday
*Please select a sentence from either a newspaper, advertisement, internet article, magazine, comic book, novel, any text that strikes you as interesting and email it to me if possible; otherwise, write it down on a piece of paper and bring it to class this week. The homework deadline due date for this assignment is: Wednesday, November 9th; however, I would welcome the assignments early!

*Rome Literature Quizzes MUST be made up by Wednesday, November 9th, or the grade will sadly become a zero as I need to be able to hand the quizzes back to students.

*Finally, all make up work previous from the Rome unit will have to made up by Wednesday, November 9th as well.

Thank you,

Mrs. J

Excellent discussion today on the Song of Roland. Check In-Touch as I just added in grades for that discussion. Because the discussion was so good, I weighted the grades in your favor! Those who spoke out received one bonus point! I meant to compliment the class on doing such a wonderful job today!

Bring tan books tomorrow!
